The power of the mesmer
I've been thinking alot about this recently. I would love to either start, or join, a guild of like minded people who love mesmers. Each person must have at least one character that is a mesmer primary. We would fight all guild battles as mesmer primaries. Sounds crazy? yes it is. I don't care.
I, being an idealistic person, believe it can be done. If we all figure out how to synergize our builds together into one working whole, and strategize carefully. It won't be easy, obviously, but I'm willing to take up the challenge. I'd like some input on my strange idea. |

Thats not a bad idea, the first character i made was a mesmer, back then everyone hated then, didn't want any mesmers in their groups, kinda sucked.....i bascially had to beg to get in a damn group for a mission even then they'd kick me if they found another person. I'd join that guild if there was one.

It's not a strange idea, and it's been done before. My only word of caution is that finding skilled Mesmers may prove difficult. Many people think that a Mesmer's job is to just spam Conjure Phantasm, Empathy or Backfire on everything. So you may have to give sincere direction to these ones, aiming to improve their understanding of the profession. That in itself can be frustrating, trust me. Encourage the use of secondary professions, but it gets annoying seeing people relying on them too much (such as trying to turn a Mesmer into a "SS" Necro).
It's possible to effectively fill any role with a Mesmer, it just takes some forethought and planning. So good luck to you, I hope you are successful! |
